Reflexology: 4,300 years old but more time needed
In the recent edition of "Reflexology Across America" newsletter President Laura Aho Jodry explains that skeptics of Reflexology need more time because they are going through the "stages of acceptance."
Stage one is "Skeptics proclaim the idea is impossible because it violates the Laws of Science." (I have to confess that this is the stage I'm stuck on.)
OK, so how much time has Reflexology had to win us skeptics over? According to "A BRIEF HISTORY OF REFLEXOLOGY"
"In Egypt, in the physician's tomb (2300 B.C.) there can be found a pictograph which may be evidence of reflexology being applied."OK, it's been over 4,000 years. Don't you think it's time for reflexology to "put up or shut up' with the proof? No -- according to Ms. Jodry -- we skeptics just need more time. How about another thousand years or so?

Speaking of the "stages of acceptance", here is the standard version, usually used by quacks to get people to suspend disbelief and critical thinking:
